  • undoubtedly the Sardinian sea has nothing to envy to those overseas but what sets it apart is underwater flora and fauna to scream Yes there will be colourful fish like reef but if you look at the feather duster or cicadas, prawns, and why not lobsters offered here you will find the beauty of our seas

  • A beach that I attend for over fifty years and I love to die for. Is 4.4 km from the Centre of Calasetta, and is the third largest beach of the municipality. Stretches for 1,600 meters. starting from the "Recantu", until the old "Tonnara". It is divided into two semi-circles, with exposure to the West, which creates beautiful waves for surfing in all its forms. The beach of fine white sand floor, varies depending on the time of year and sea currents, which constantly change its morphology. You can find on the shoreline, the presence of "posidonia" washed up by the currents, which is just water purity index, although "annoying" for those who do not know the nature and mixed with seaweed from pollution. There is a refreshment service that also takes care of the concessions of deck chairs and umbrellas. Huge is the share of the public beach, and you should not linger in front of the entrances, but take a few hundred meters for being in the least crowded parts. The seabed is suitable for children and beginners, but to be taken carefully with the storms, because of big waves even more than 2 meters. The Sea offers all shades of blue and green, since the seabed has Rocky banks are part of the sand and its banks of posidonia. Behind is lush Mediterranean scrub, while the frontal panorama offers views of the island of San Pietro. There are ample free parking spaces, and in the period from 1 July to 15 September some areas street side are with charge (2 € for half a day and € 4 all day). In September 2016, Mediaset has shot several scenes of fiction "l'isola di Pietro", with Gianni Morandi.
