  • interesting Museum which reminds us of the history of Sardinia, from its beginnings until the present day. Particularly interesting are the artifacts from the nuragica (notably the statues of Giants) and Phoenicia. Worth a visit

  • A very well made and modern museum! I was there whit a group of history and art-history students and the ticket was for free! I loved the reproduction of the Tabula Peutingeriana!!
  • For being located in a magnificent area of Cagliari (inside the Castle), which also has a nice view, in my opinion it lacks some key features. Indeed there is the option to pay via POS, and there is even the possibility of having a media guide or simply an audioguide. So in the absence of a guided tour you are planning, trying to follow the logic of the exhibition focuses on the Giants and the finds of Cabras. Another sore point: the General cleaning of the environment and of the Windows is not optimal. Latest unpleasant surprise the bathroom was no toilet paper, sure it can happen but it would be better to avoid.

  • The Museum houses numerous exhibits of various civilizations that have succeeded in Sardinia: from the nurargica to the Phoenician, Punic and the Dutch. The bronzes are evidence of the high level reached by local craftsmen in bronze casting in the age nurargica. They are also exhibited several statues were found in the area of Monti Prama, considered to be among the oldest in the Mediterranean.

  • The Museum in the summer should stay open from 10 to 24, because tourists and inhabitants of Cagliari are in Castle after 20
