  • Cemetery evocative and definitely rich in history. Saber with his statues l made it very impressive and in some places even a little spooky. The young lady driving very nice and helpful, I recommend you take a ride with you to better understand what is behind the many statues.

  • In the cemetery of Bonaria I visit some dear, and a place that I like for her silence turn between these ancient tombs, some of which are real masterpieces, and thinking that go back a long time ago and still today are testimony of love for their loved ones. Every time I go I'm going to find some that are beautiful. Any one of a woman with a veil, and another two children with a dedication of parents really beautiful.

  • Very quiet but not morbid. Amazing carved headstone and some are very moving.Must be an Italian thing but not many flowers, even so its a lovely place to visit

  • Is the Cagliari's historic cemetery, with a great artistic and archaeological value. Unfortunately some areas are in poor condition but still worth a look.

  • A historical site and highly impressive but that would need extensive restoration work.

  • The monumental cemetery of Bonaria is located in Cagliari, in the District of the same name. Between 1829 and 1968, the cemetery, which was originally an area at the base of the Hill of Bonaria spread in successive enlargements up to its top. The main entrance is located in piazza Cimitero, while a second entrance is in via Ravenna, behind the basilica of Bonaria. Other famous people buried in Bonaria: among the best known are the canonical Archaeologist Giovanni Spano, the tenor Piero Schiavazzi, General Carlo Sanna, the Mayor of Cagliari Ottone Bacaredda and the architect Francesco Giarrizzo, author of the façade of the Cathedral of Cagliari.

  • Beautiful place where you can admire the artistic marble sculptures made for the dead. It has been made the virtual tour of the areas of the cemetery and you can see them on Google Street View. Thanks to photographer Alexander pumpkin that has mapato the whole cemetery of Bonaria
