  • The beach of Calamosca is easily located by car or bus from the Centre of Cagliari. (only 5 km). It has coarse sand mixed with small pebbles. The beach is not great and tends to fill up pretty quickly. Frequented by people and tourists. During the summer season there is a beach bar and a sea rescue service, equipment rental. Outdoor nightclubs are nearby (active in summer) and a 3-star hotel with restaurant, open all year round. The beach is sheltered from the Mistral is a viable alternative to the nearby beach of Poetto on windy days. With twenty different sometimes the water tends to be clear, not often found rests of Posidonia oceanica (which are still a health index of the sea). The beach is framed in beautiful scenery with the tower and the lighthouse of Calamosca. Warning some areas of neighbouring Cliff are forbidden because slumping (is mesas, cala Faruqi), you should contact your Town or Captaincy for details. Alerts are featured and municipal police monitors, also from the sea, raising penalties. On sunny days (even in winter) you must make a small hike up behind Capo Sant'Elia. The little tour includes a comfortable climb of about half an hour, from there you can enjoy the view and visit the archaeological areas or enjoy the Mediterranean species.

  • A mirror of calm sea as sheltered by a headland, with any wind, lets have a liveable by everyone, small basin included. The water is definitely warmer of the open sea and there is a sandy, not very large, and free range where you can stop without problems at any time. Urban transport arrive at a few meters from the beach and, during the summer season for Cagliari from May to October inclusive, you can buy sandwiches and drinks in a cloister. Being free and there are no public facilities. I recommend it to those who want to enjoy beautiful scenery and a beach and magnificent water but OCI in terms of appropriate services.

  • If you're a Cagliari come here, it's a beautiful place, much better than the Poetto. You can climb down the cliff in the North to the headland and try Nudism s eti goes, if no stay at the beach or go down South and find coves to descend to the sea. Beautiful outskirts of Cagliari
