  • Had long wanted to visit the Giants knew under restoration in Sassari. Vsgavo for the West Coast and in the area of Oristano understood in Cabras almost by accident. Hear about the Museum I convince my girlfriend and dedicate a little time to visit the Museum. Seen from the outside by the impression that it is very small. But it's great for the content of the story it contains. We start the tour as per itinerary is a lot of information to help you understand the ancient Sardinian civilization which is often completely ignored by national historiography. Many many exhibits that you can spend hours, fascinated I read everything I think about the greatness of this magnificent civilization in the final we arrive at the room of Giants and I am further amazed by the degree of finish of these magnificent statues, when my girlfriend managed to convince me to finish the visit we are preparing to go out in the Hall and a museum guide is preparing to accompany a large group for a tour of the Museum , wonder if I can aggregate and as a new visit this time allotment in trans with the description of a capable professional. I follow all captivated every single description increases in me admiration for this wonderful civilization. With a guide so capable the result is much better than my ride. So after spending much of the afternoon I leave with great satisfaction. Recommend visiting all seems really small but inside you will find thousands of years of history nuraghic, Punic and Roman times.

  • A small museum on the banks of the lagoon, which summarizes all the ancient history of Sardinia. They range from Neolithic arrowheads, weights of Roman ships passing in the Mediterranean. Very interesting exhibits from free of Tophet by Tarros. Gigan (capitalized) are a separate chapter, wrapped in the Majesty and mystery of their history

  • Long wanted to "meet" the Giants. After a walk to Tharros and poked around the yard in Monti Prama where we got a couple of workers come to the Museum in Cabras. Accommodating staff, a trainee (friendly) introduces us to what we would see. Finds from Cuccuru is Arrius, site of Tharros, two collections given to the Museum, lead ingots and other finds from a boat off the coast of Sinis and last but not least, the Giants. Scroll carefully everything, leaving the last legendary. Four/five statues and three or four models of nuraghi. I have more than 2 closets dedicated to what is one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the last forty years. One of the girls was explaining to me that because of space limitations other statues and models of Nuraghe are visible in Cagliari, dissatisfied.
