  • Church not exceptionally beautiful or rich in detail, I say he deserves only the Lamentation over the dead Christ.

  • The Church is annexed to the Franciscan monastery, they are located in the South-western part of the country, both were built in 1474 by Orlando Pallavicino Pallavicino and Gianludovico children. Maintains the austere Gothic, Lombard and Emilian area has polygonal apses. The portal offers fine pottery of braided cords from leaves, knots, putti and grape clusters, subject to mould into the furnace by J.de ' Stavolis, on models of Rainald. As you enter you have to admire on the bottom of the Hall the fourth chapel on the left, inside a cave houses the superb polychrome terracotta group, a masterpiece of sculpture emiliana, "Lamented Cristoo dead" or Deposition or pity. Built in 1477 from g. Mazzoni with extraordinary psychological introspection and emotional intensity. The scene consists of 8 size figures in polychrome terracotta, the dead Christ, the Virgin Mary, in the Centre, the sides John the Apostle and Mary Magdalene. On her knees, 2 men Joseph Armatea and Nicodemus, but popular tradition tells us that depict the patrons, founders of the convent. Worth a mention even the detached fresco with Christ fell under the cross of Niccolò dell'Abbate 1544 and in the first chapel of sin, is the fresco of the Madonna del Canal, very valuable 15th century work attributed to a follower of Squarcione. Beautiful carved marble monument to the Franciscan Affò, Busseto, a distinguished historian of the city of Parma. In the sacristy, the wonderful painting of the Madonna with child and Saints Franciscans a. fields, of 1580. Passing by the Church to the monastery through the cloister in the refectory is a large painting of the last supper, m. Abdul Rahman of 1540. The top floor of the complex was reserved for the Enclosure. Today you can see the locals, particularly the access corridor to the cells with unique large clock immured. The library contains important works, manuscripts and precious volumes from ' 600 onwards.

  • A few steps from the Museo Giuseppe Verdi Monastero is located with an impressive church. Before the Church, get narrated stories about Verdi.

  • A church which is gorgeous, the small garden in front of the entrance is well kept and the facades is already impressive. The Interior is very simple but nicely looking you can find signs of a particular and important past. Should take the brochure at the entrance that tells in simple way all the works within the same.
