  • In this House was born on 10 October 1813 Giuseppe Verdi and the wishes of the Marquis Pallavicino owners of the building remained as then even if restructured to strengthen it, and is an example of a middle-class family that could be defined by then his father ran a posteria (change and rest the horses and riders) with an adjoining restaurant and room for rest, ran a shop and her mother slipped by and raised silkworms. It was a family where everyone could read and write when in these countries over the nobles to the doctor and the priest a few others were not illiterate. The House has many rooms downstairs were those related to the family business while upstairs there were the rooms, the room of Joseph you could see the Church where the boy ran away to learn how to play the organ. The rooms are bare with minimal furnishings (these were mostly made of light wood, to distinguish them from the originals) outside there are some stone inscriptions including that of the poor in Roncole who place for Thanksgiving to master for his acts of charity for them the 100th anniversary of her birth in the yard in front of the House was placed a bust of the composer by master Calhoun cannot fail to remember how at the side of the House of Verdi there is a coffee that Guareschi wanted to open and gestures King in the place which became a place of pilgrimage from all over the world from people who wanted to visit the birthplace of the great composer who liked to call himself, even at the height of his fame and wealth: "I am and I will always be a villager in Roncole"

  • The exterior of the House is completely renovated, the Interior partly original, not particularly appropriate reconstructions. Nice thing is the tablet with audio guide included in the ticket price.

  • Visit dutiful but very welcome. Green's voice accompanies you as a kid. Encouraged the children to get a sense of the living conditions of a modest family but not low in 200 years ago.

  • Nice place. Didn't go inside so can't say anything about that. But the atmosphere of the area, the village, was very nice. To see where il maestro Verdi grew up was interesting. And to see that the village is still very proud of it's son is nice too.

  • It is a small but very interesting place.
  • The House is well kept. Congratulations to the group that manages the location because with little or nothing they managed to make a place and a home of a unique attraction, not least the visit accompanied by a tablet that with a little imagination you back in time making you relive some moments our popular Giuseppe Verdi. Good. For me, though, is well worth the visit.

  • Christmas House completely restored so very fine. I absolutely recommend a visit. The entrance costs 5 euros and the tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. Parking in front. Is a historical place and in this particular case is full of architectural barriers.
