  • Recommend to spend a half hour, at least, in this place. It is projected into a different era, so close to us and so far away. Discover not only the celebrated author of "Don Camillo and Peppone", but the journalist is a must for anyone and argumentative delve into a piece of national history. Bonus: you might have the pleasure of conversing with a cute ladies; He is the son of Giovannino, Alberto, a mine of information and anecdotes.

  • The small village of Roncole is home to a small cemetery which is located a few tens of meters from the House of VERDI and where is buried Giovanni GUARESCHI, the author of the memorable "little world of Don Camillo". Although born in Fontanelle di Roccabianca, he lived in Roncole from 1952 until his death in 1968. GUARESCHI had a passion for the Emilian plain he describes beautifully as well as the life that is intertwined with that of the Po, where political passions to exasperate but where men are supportive and generous and where farmers, workers of the Earth dimension to the message of the writer a special and profound.

  • On our doorstep Greens you can browse at home Guareschi, and well worth it! We were also lucky: yesterday we were able to visit two exhibitions at once, two masters of humor: the Salem Giovannino Guareschi and the cartoonist Joseph Fabi in art Fiona. Crossing the threshold we were greeted by the image of don Camillo with his bicycle and by half in the flesh!! A kind girl greeted us briefly explaining the history and leaving us free in our visit. In the room you could see the fireplace full of ashes. The smell of burnt wood is perceived throughout the environment, but not annoying. Several panels recount with lettering and vignettes curiosities and anecdotes of this bizarre character, trying to make us fall in the world and in the past time. Also hilarious designs of Fiona, on the centenary of his birth, they hit me with that irony isn't out of place but it goes straight to the heart.
