  • I visited the tomb of the writer Giovannino Guareschi lying in the small cemetery not far from his home. A simple grave as his characters who so captivated with Peppone and don Camillo. It represented a healthy and vibrant of life that took place in the quiet countryside of this province. The Council.

  • The premises that housed the restaurant Guareschi you can visit every day the beautiful exhibition on Giovannino Guareschi, edited by his sons Alberto and Carlotta. At the beginning of the visit is projected a short video in which is read a letter written by Giovannino in 1964 pupils to a teacher. Here he also hosts the cultural Association of the Club of ventitrè (23) and a rich archive of 200,000 documents. For fans there is a wonderful bookshop, where we discovered comic book adaptations of the tales of don Camillo: the initiative was so successful that it is being published the thirteenth comic. Guareschi deserves to be known not only as the ' father ' of Peppone and don Camillo but above all as a man who tried to live with consistency and fidelity its ideals, prepared to pay in person. Exciting.

  • I love Guareschi, then one of the primary objectives of our trip was to go to visit the House-Museum of Guareschi in Roncole. And we were fully satisfied. Meanwhile we had an exception, which is represented by the writer's son, Albert, who calmly and simplicity, we knew how to illustrate the beautiful and eclectic personality of his father. The exhibition is rich in testimonies, Alberto very willing to supplement or to answer questions of the visitor. At the end of the path, then, I'm glad I can find and buy works of Giovannino Guareschi, that in my city (Padua!), I had vainly sought.
