  • Museo del Merletto, or Lace Museum, is located on Burano Island and is part of Venice Civic Museums – for this reason we included the Museum on our Venezia Unica City Pass. The exhibits are...  more »
  • This is a must see for anyone who is into the craft of lace-making. There are exhibits about the history of the skill as its popularity on Burano rose, fell and was revived, and there are very many...  more »
  • We came to visit the colourful streets of Burano after Murano Museum of Glass and they did a combination ticket of the lace museum for the same cost. It was a small museum and we finished looking at.....  more »
  • This island is a treasure you shouldn't miss. Beautiful and distinctive. There is a lot of beautiful lace work here as well as a nice place to visit.
  • Very small museum ( only 3 rooms ) and not too many explanations about the technical aspects of needlework. The historical overview is also a bit barebones. I might have enjoyed the items on display more if I already knew more about embroidery... but I thought I was going to this museum to learn about it.
  • We saw the lace museum during our lagoon tour. Small but very nice and interesting exhibits. Burano itself is a charming island to wander around, lots of lovely shops and the colourful houses are fascinating to see.
  • Explain the history of the lace in Venice and all the world. Small museum. I recommend to couple it with the glass museum of Murano. Strangely the price is lower for the both museum then a single one
  • The Lace Museum is a really cool experience. The museum is more like a little house. It is very small. We had a tour and it was very informative. The lace makers here used to have a school, but unfortunately it is a dying art and not many people do it anymore. The youngest lace maker (age 78) was there making her portion of the lace before she passed it onto the next woman. I recommend the tour, but it is very quick and a very small museum.
