  • Extensive and interesting permanent exhibition inside the Bruneck Castle. To visit with calm to be able to see all the spaces dedicated to the various world mountain people.

  • In Bruneck Castle, once the summer residence of the Prince Bishops, situated on the Hill South of the capital of val Pusteria Reinhold Messner has set up the second of his six museums dedicated to the mountain. The Museum MMM Ripa (in Tibetan "re" stands for mountain and "pa" for men) you can enjoy a wonderful view on the Kronplatz, the rural landscape of the Ahrntal and Zillertal Valley Alps. The museum dedicated to the people of the mountains, is well kept and managed, allowing the visitor through a fascinating setting, to get to know the Customs and traditions of the peoples that inhabit the mountains in various parts of the world.

  • I found this interesting Museum and not at all trivial, also interesting is also the castle in which you enter the Museum. Recommend a visit.

  • If you like mountain cultures you must spend a couple if hours in this amazing museum located in a well restored castle.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my visit - you can easily spend several hours here. The castle itself is interesting, and it's nice to see both the very old original walls, and some well-fitting modern restorations / embellishments. It's a pretty walk up to it from the town centre. The exhibition in this museum (out of a total of 6 Messner mountain museums) is focussed on mountain people, so there are lots of artefacts showcasing the culture and way of life of such populations from all over the world. Genuinely new and educational to me. The castle also has a great little cafe / restaurant. The visit price of 9 Euros is well worth it, and if you are in the region for a while, the 35 Euro ticket for all museums, valid for a year, is brilliant value too.
  • Very good exposition, a bit boring near the end.
  • very interesting museum
  • Great!
