  • the site, racchiiude a part of a neighborhood crossed by a road paved with large collectively just over six meters, the area was at the center of the Roman imperial era medium Toast. The sides of the road are some public and private buildings. To the North the interesting thermal complex, visible only in its rear. I have to admit that the site loved it, not so much for the exhibits that encloses, since being in Rome are accustomed to something else, but as is required. Congratulations ... and in addition is the entrance is free.

  • ... in the city center the archaeological area San Pietro degli Schiavoni, namesake Brindisi District whose name comes from the Church of St. Peter in the neighborhood and by the ancient Greek and Albanian inhabitants (Schiavoni), offers a glimpse of the ancient "municipium". The archaeological remains dry rot was discovered in the years 1964-1966 when you began to demolish the old houses in the neighborhood to start the construction of the new Palace of Justice before and the new theater then. The new teatro Verdi was built suspended excavations of the whole archaeological area which nevertheless suffered substantial damage since the works were not carried out according to rigorosicriteri. The entrance of the archaeological area underneath the theater takes place from piazzetta Giustino During: can only be visited in the morning and admission is free. The location is on a Boardwalk that allows to see from above the Roman ruins which consist of a road blasolata of 60 meters overlooked by shops, houses and a bath house. Include explanatory information panels and comfortable. The lighting should be improved. Worth visiting.
