  • It's massive, imposing, you find yourself in front of a sudden unexpected. A beautiful monument of the past.

  • The tower was erected in 1254 to defend the ancient porta di San Giovanni (today Door Milan, where now stands the equestrian statue of Garibaldi), the plant is square and measures 10.60 m, the height of 31 meters and its base is in stone of Botticino: is all that remains of the medieval walls. The name of the Tower – Pallata – probably derives from the Stockade that defended it. The beautiful Fountain at the base of the tower is of 1596, the statues represent Brescia army between the rivers Mella and Garza. Since then, except for the natural degradation of the marbles, the Pallata has remained the same, being able to spend more or less unscathed through wars and sieges and managing to escape the distortions of the original project of Piacentini who led to the demolition and had Victory Square origin. To be seen with the attention it deserves!

  • I saw this church amid walking along the beautiful streets. The tower is tall and stunning. I don't think people are allowed in it though. Check out the fountain made by multiple architects featuring four statutes. Enjoy the streets and the many shops around this amazing 13th century tower.
  • It's a tower.
