  • Nice church which for a catholic it is definitely worth visiting. Old style building a lot of character detail inside.  more »
  • Renaissance church in the heart of Brescia. Very interesting the façade of the Sanmicheli. Enjoyable informative path at the entrance with explanatory panels.

  • Amazing building not just for the impressive façade, born around a fresco "miraculous" but also for the spotless interior layout: a square divided into nine. Is located in Corso Martiri della Libertà, was built to make up for the need to widen the small chapel built in 1487 at the place where a painting with the image of the Blessed Virgin was held just miraculous. The central part of the façade is the oldest part, representative of Lombard sculpture of the Renaissance. The porch, added later, is divided into four columns from the narrow straight grooves topped by a newsstand with triangular pediment. Above the pilasters on the sides of the porch, there are bas-reliefs depicting the baptism of Christ and the adoration of the shepherds. The interior of the Church has a square plan with three naves and the pentagonal apse and two domes above the nave. In the apse are some valuable paintings: on the right wall taking Pietro Marone and the purification of the Virgin Mary by Grazio Cossali, on the back wall there is a fifteenth-century fresco depicting the Virgin and child. The Church suffered severe damage during the bombing in World War II. deserves more attention in tourist routes, is to see
