Lake Prags, Braies

(4.7/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
Stretch your legs with a brisk hike around Lake Prags, the so-called "Pearl of the Dolomites." This picturesque lake is known for its emerald color and a series of hiking trails leading around the water and through the surrounding nature reserve. The lake is located in the heart of a World Heritage Site that has long been a tourist mecca, attracting skiers in the winter months, and mountain climbers, hikers, base jumpers, and paragliders during the summer and early autumn. As you hike or take part in any of the more extreme activities popular in this area, take long breaks to enjoy the sweeping views of the surrounding snow-capped Dolomite mountains. Put Lake Prags and other Braies attractions into our Braies trip itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • a small lake nestled in a charming and spectacular. is among the things to see if you are in the area. shame about the season that he presented completely frozen, so we missed the typical colours of the Alpine Lakes, but still lovely. ritagliereno us a visit in the fall to review at best.

  • Curious about the fiction that uses this place as a backdrop, we visited this Lake, whose outline makes it impressive. The surprise (but not that much) was that the Lake was frozen solid. It was nice to walk on it, but I think with the colors of the surroundings and the mirror of water would have had more impact in the summer.

  • A charming place, always seen on tv thanks to a well-known fiction, but live is another story. We went in December and found the frozen lake pure spectacle. I recommend everyone to go see it at least once in their lifetime. We will review it again.
