  • It is a historical place surrounded by nature, where you can make beautiful hikes. Walks in the nature reserves among the ruins of ancient Monterano, to do with your family or friends on bikes or even better walk.

  • I was with my girlfriend in the reserve. We departed from Rome and got off at the stop manziana, from which with the cotral we have reached the turnoff to canale monterano. From there is a half hour walk (well signposted) to get to the parking lot of the diosilla, from which it descends to the wonderful sulphurous waterfall. Red nature trail takes you through a lush natural environment before the solfatara and then ancient monterano (it takes about an hour). A must visit!

  • We were on a weekday in October the only here, made it special! If you go over the narrow dirt road back runs do you even wonder if it goes well but fortunately are everywhere. The ruins are very good value for money. The waterfall was not quite spectacular. In terms of walking to do very well! There are also plenty of picnic benches at the ruins.
