  • Small museum, but well organized and held. The archaeological finds are classified and presented with care and precision, enhanced by simple and effective layout. The visit is divided into 3 stages: 1) the main hall which houses the main part of exhibits; 2) the upper floor where are located the models of the villas destroyed by the eruption of 79 c.; 3) the Roman villa emerges from the ruins and surrounded by vineyards as well as it was originally. To visit.

  • Amazing experience. We struck gold with a bilingual staff member who gave The Best Tour of all. Written info is all in Italian so this was invaluable. The site includes a farm in a deep excavation pit...  more »
  • Only the warmth and friendliness of the caretaker we reward the long search for the elusive Museum. The exhibition is very educational and therefore more suitable for students than to adult visitors with a little bit of preparation. The only reason to go there would be a visit to the adjacent excavation of the Roman villa unfortunately closed to the public because, despite having been restored in recent years has, paradoxically, unsafe. A sign should indicate the closing to save visitors the long descent and subsequent accalorante ski lifts.

  • A small but nice museum attached to to the ruins of a villa. Unfortunately, who can no longer enter the villa as it is unsafe.
  • Awesome site
  • Beautiful Museum, explained very well com panels, geology, paleologia, botany of the area of the river Sarno, well styled the exhibits, some rare and to be seen only as the dog and the pig, whose fabulous casts were made, remains of charred food make the idea of feeding the inhabitants of the countryside of Sarno., the site is unlikely to be reached easily thanks to google maps on a mobile handset installed in the car from the highway exit.

  • The Museum would not bad per se ... But it is very badly served by public transport: there are buses and way to go walk in the Sun (20 min) from Boscoreale station is busy, dangerous and full of all kinds of waste. Then when you find out that there is not even a bar, the villa is not open, on the plan of the Museum is closed. Fortunately the staff were pleasant and pulls up!! If you have little time to spare. do not come here.
