Necropoli Sant'Andrea Priu Reviews
Le site est assez bien indiqué depuis Bonorva, c'est un peu moins évident si vous venez d'une autre direction, par exemple depuis le nuraghe Santu Antine qui n'est pas très loin de là. Il y a un peu d... more »The site is quite well signposted from Bonorva, it's a little less obvious if you come from another direction, for example from the nuraghe Santu House which is not very far from it. There is a little way to go (about 11 km from the SS131 at height of Bonorva, 15 from Santu House) but it is well worth the effort. The ticket office has recently been installed 800 m further on a mound, this is where to go to get the tickets and wait for the guided tour. You will find a bar with a beautiful terrace, toilets, a small library, and a splendid view of the surroundings. The site itself is best known for the "House of the King", a huge domus of janas converted to a chapel in the early days of Christianity. The rest of the site is made up of other domus of janas "classic". It is also worth to stand on the plateau to see the "Bull" and admire the panorama.
davvero particolarissimo. Question, for now (why should soon become open, according to the guide the tomb of spirals, which promises to be must-see) of a necropolis can be visited only with a guide. The ticket is continuing about 400 meters past the entrance to the necropolis. Visit drove only in Italian and English. The place is actually inside a construction site, so the first impression is disappointing. The pleasant little foreman and workmen indifferent to visitors. Visiting three tombs and climb even atop the low hill that contains them to see the vaunted headless Bull and beautiful scenery. The sculpture in question is indeed particular and should be admired, although I don't know if that's actually what remains of a bull. Two of the graves are visited freely and are interesting, but normal. What really is a must visit the grave of Chief. An overlap of styles from Neolithic through Roman necropolis and finally to Byzantine with columns, but especially frescoes to let speechless ... Guide very prepared, shame about the carelessness and the lack of tourism promotion for websites so valuable
A mio avviso è uno dei siti archeologici nuragici più importanti e più particolari: merita decisamente una visita. more »I think it is one of the most important nuraghic archaeological sites and more details: well worth a visit.
The domus de janas which compose this necropolis, one of the largest and most important of Sardinia, are carved on the vertical wall and on the plateau of a trachyte-10 m-high outcrop and oriented to S-and consisono in a score of burials, arranged mostly in d a certain height above the country level. Chronologically they are classifiable in the neo-eneolithic, between 4th and 3rd millennium BC, but the earliest stages of use can be attributed to the culture of Ozieri (final Neolithic: 3200-2800 BC). The tombs are accessible only in part, because the partial collapse of the face of the rock caused the destruction of some rooms and steps or footholds which allowed to reach them. The floor plan of single-celled or multicellular is burials: three graves belong to the latter type of particular interest: the "Tomb of the leader", "circular" and the "hut-shaped Tomb Chamber tomb". The first, bigger includes 18 rooms arranged so labyrinthine, around two main rooms. A rectangular Atrium introduces in the semicircular anterooms (diameter m 7.10) whose ceiling radial roof joists semiconico plays. On the back wall opens the entrance door to the main cell (1.80 m) topped by a fake rectangular lintel relief marked. The two cells behind, rectangular (8 m x 8.60 m x 4.10 6.80;), are arranged in succession one after another on the same axis. The rooms have two columns tapering upwards, while on the left wall of the second cell will keep playing a false door. On the walls of two rooms more open entrance doors of several secondary cells characterised by the presence of niches and benches. The "Gable's grave", close to the previous one, has a first rectangular compartment (1.75 x 0.80 m) – characterized by the presence on the floor of three dimples for bids – which leads into the main cell circular (diam. 3 m; height 2.30 m). This second environment presents on the floor 15 dimples for deals, some of which are cut from a tomb next pit, and two other small niches carved on the wall in front of the entrance. The ceiling, cone, keeps playing a rooftop with radial joists. On the side walls there are 2 Bay access doors were added at a later date to the first plant of the burial. The "Chamber tomb"-whose original entrance with staircase (w m 2) collapsed due to the subsidence of the Rocky face-plays the architectural elements of a House with a rectangular plan. An entrance Pavilion (2.85 m x 2.75) keeps in the floor three dimples and introduces into the environment more, rectangular in plan (4.50 m x 3.06 x m 2). This second compartment has two pillars and a ceiling that plays a double-pitched roof, with central beam and side beams. On the side walls of the compartment are spared some cubicles arranged in pairs. Some other tombs of the necropolis show architectural elements or symbolic: on the floor of one of the smaller tombs excavated on the plateau of the outcrop, for example, is made of a hearth with embossed and circular ring with Central dimple. The necropolis was reused for an extended period of time. In medieval times the "Tomb" was transformed into a place of worship. On the walls of two inner rooms were painted frescoes of Christian subjects. (Sardinia Culture)
Archaeological site of great beauty and interest of the entire region. How often do you rebuke the lack of care and attention for areas in other archaeological tourist interest by the first in the same Region but also of local authorities, well this place, already more controlled than many others, had not the necessary popularity by attracting cultural tourism and eco-friendly. More needs to be done.
Shame as I found this year!! I had seen her when you do not pay and you could see it at any time. It is right that the entry you pay but if it was handled well would be best. After all those mileage .... get there and even though there was nobody had to wait 45 minutes to go with a guide, but there was no guide and no tourist in the necropolis so why wait there in the bar? and where was the leadership? I went away for me there was little desire to work. Sin had made 300 km.
Sin are accessible only a few graves. The grave of Chief of course offers a fascinating experience for the layering of cultures. Imagine the full Bull statue that imposing dominated the entire Valley.
A magical place 5000 years old. Although the General interpretation is that of a necropolis seems more an ancient temple of goddess cults. To prove the great carved stone cow shaped located above the main House towards the center of the milky way. There are numerous Domus where he feels an incredible energy. Important experience to do whether to visit around here. Ticket a little pricey probably because in summer there are more tourists. Including a guide in the main house. Magnificent Places! 5 stars for that are wonderful and are absolutely worth a visit.
