  • In the Centre of the village of Bolognano begins a trail pretty well marked that descends into the Orta River Gorge in the middle of the park where you can admire breathtaking views of nature; one of these is the waterfall. Easy to get to for everyone, then I did for families. In the vicinity there are also various sites naturalists that the Council their visit which the various caves.

  • Under guidance of a friend of ours, we were in this place in the first half of August 2016: a surprising DISCOVERY. Great to see that a few steps from the city of Pescara (in about 40 minutes you can arrive at your destination!) is a place to reminisce about the canyon. Arrived in the village, on the left of the little church that meets, there are directions to the cistern. Via paths not quite challenging, you reach the bed of the river and the show begins. Beautiful. We found ourselves in a place surrounded by nature; to reach the cistern you walk in the clear and refreshing waters of Orta and once you arrive you can observe the beauty that only nature can generate. Costume Council and appropriate shoes (at least two pairs--one leave it in the car for the trip). For sure will be back, but in less crowded periods.
