Witness two iconic landmarks of Bologna dating back to the Middle Ages, Torri degli Asinelli e Garisenda. The 12th-century, leaning towers serve as prominent historical symbols of a city that once boasted more than 100 such structures. Climb the 97 m (318 ft) high Asinelli Tower to see the drastic leaning angle of the Garisenda Tower and to view the city and countryside. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes; the climb to the top is steep and narrow. • Go to Bologna (ancient city towered) and not visit the two most famous towers in the city would be a real shame. If, after a bit of a pain, you will come on top of about one hundred metres of the Asinelli (double height della Garisenda) you will be rewarded by the panorama of the city (and not only) that you can enjoy from up there. Very characteristic alleyways which surround them.

  • A recommended visit, with a special view over Bologna and surrounding hills from a special observation. The steps, all in wood, are easy to get because the lift is very small, a few flights unfortunately have a reduced supporting surface and be very careful especially during the descent phase.

  • We wanted to visit the towers but a bad organization and also wheelchair access zeroooooo, code with no one to check and then have the space to do an elevator maybe you climb with lift and descend with stairs allowing everyone to climb.

  • The best view of Bologna EVER! The legend says that you shouldn't climb until you graduate at the university! Otherwise, you will never finish your studies... that's why, we have waited more than 5 years to finally climb the 91m high tower and enjoy the beautiful view! Before in Bologna there were more than 180 towers but today you can enjoy in just a few (7-8 towers in the city)! Don't miss it... unless you are still studying!
  • Tough climb but worth it. Beautiful view of the city and surrounds. Be extra careful if climbing with small children, stairs are not very safe. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear.
  • View on top is nice. Quite steep, not for elderly. There a pizza ship directly in front the entrance which offer nice and cheap food. 2 euro per piece.
  • One of the best places to visit in Northern Italy. The city filled with cultures and beauty, Bologna is one of the traditional cities of Italy. I was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the people. One of the historic landmarks of Bologna, the two towers are worth to visit.
  • These towers are one of a kind. One of them looks like it was going to fall, but itsnot obviously. They are really something to look at.
