  • The 666 arcades that reach the basilica of San Luca are very particular and characteristic, the path is all uphill so it may be difficult but if you have the energy to do so don't let him get away

  • Intense stroll 3 km portico, which our beautiful sanctuary. A minor disappointment was the fact, that the advance does not have a good view of the city.

  • See San Luca from the highway while approaching to Bologna to me is a bit like coming home. It is definitely a very important place of worship for the area but also of great beauty for stopovers or for those staying on business. Illuminated at night, it's a really magical place.

  • We walked up from the bottom. It was very relaxing. I'm no athlete but made it up easily. Views are spectacular and we'll worth the climb
  • Amazing tracking & Fitness track,, More pretty in Sunlight , SanLUCA church is Awesome, admired architecture of Church... JEsus Christ,,,,,!!!!
  • It is a long journey from Bologna but it is totally worth. A local friend recommended it to us and for people who like hiking, this is certainly one of the best experiences in Bologna. The basilica is impressive!
  • The view was really worth it. But you have to (almost) be an athlete to reach the top by feet. But really, it's worth it.
  • Panoramic view once there but otherwise it's like one of the many churches. More unique is the arcade that covers the path all the way up or down from the city. If you want to skip the tourist train car from the city center to the top and bottom (£10 pp) and for a quarter of the cost go up and down then do the following : take bus 20 from downtown to villa spada and then take bus 58 to the top ( it follows the arcade path on holidays ). The bus stop is directly next to bus stop 20. Get a brochure from the tourist office. Buy the ticket on the bus for 1.50 or at a tobacco shop for 1.30 (biglette bus oereo. .whatever ). Bus 58 is less frequent so if you miss it don't frown. At villa spada go west of the bus stop at an intersection past the traffic light then go through the gate and walk through the park uphill for maximum 10 min until there is a clearing and you'll get a panoramic view of everything from there. People also picnic up there .bus 58 also goes back from the top to bus 20 and transfer to downtown
