  • It is the true Center of the city and a place that is passed on any visit to Bologna. Surrounded by the best and most famous buildings: San Petronio, Town Hall, etc.

  • We could visit the remarkable Cathedral by the height under the arch, however the fountain of Neptune was sheeted and work in October/November 2016. The nearby stock exchange offers a style arts decorative revisited very disappointing. The most interesting is the visit of University whose ceiling paintings are remarkable and moving (especially the library and the medical room)

  • More visits and more you like. Although for us it is not a novelty, because we live very close to Bologna, travelling through this square and look around is always very nice. Unforgettable evening in autumn!

  • You have to visit here when in Bologna, in fact you won't be able to miss it, it's huge! Lovely little eateries down the narrow side streets you are bound to find one that suits your taste. It's just a short walk from the twin towers and surrounded by lovely architecture.
  • Beautiful town square. Perfect for people watching but take a drink if you're planning to stay a while.
  • Beautiful piazza. We lucked out and there was a concert of a local band playing American 1950's/1960's music outside. Very enjoyable, like most piazzas in Italy.
  • Greatest place in Bologna. Always something going on in this place. The church is amazing and there is normally music or artists.
  • Talk about atmosphere! A lovely square bathed in artwork. Probably not the best idea to pay for the restaurants here, but definitely worth some time to stroll through and check out the various art pieces on display. You can get the poor-man's view of Michelangelo's David in the reproduction in one corner of the square.
