  • It's always very nice to stroll around Piazza Maggiore and Neptune is truly spectacular sin that is under renovation and it is therefore possible to see the statue.

  • Go to Bologna and would be a crime not to visit Piazza Maggiore with its vestiges steeped in history: the basilica of San Petronio, palazzo del Podestà, palazzo d'accursio and that of King Enzo. The only sore point on Neptune for at least two years covered by scaffolding and harnesses. How long will have to wait for those who have not ever seen?? Beautiful even the porches to the square and characteristic alleyways.

  • The heart of Bologna. Your tour of Bologna starts here. From the Nettuno and the Sala Borse you can start visiting all the hidden alleys of the city.
  • Beautiful piazza in the center of Bologna, surrounded with Duomo, Palazzo Re Enzo, City Hall and Museum! Must see!
  • Lively place! I can tell there's a lot going on here. So much to see in the surrounding galerias and great people watching in the piazza. Sadly the "Neptune" statue was covered for reconditioning while we were there.
  • The most wonderful piazza in Italy. It serves as the "living room" of Bologna. A great place for people watching!
  • A must-see while in Bologna. Lots of fantastic history in this piazza, so it helps to read a bit about it before you come so you can appreciate how much has happened here. Beautiful for a stroll at dusk, and in July there is a free outdoor film festival.
