  • Finally I managed to visit this beautiful and historic building in the center of Bologna, and worthwhile. I was impressed especially the staircase and monumental Salone del Podesta, as well as the beautiful medieval aura that you respira1 excellent!

  • Not the most ornate or spectacular of the churches and palaces around Bologna but still worth popping your head in. Check out the whispering gallery below the palace.
  • The Palace was built close to the Palazzo del Podesta for its expansion. At a time when the Holy Roman emperor Frederick II Hohenstaufen fought with the Holy See, boloncy, being on the side of the Pope, captured the son of Emperor named Enzo and kept him in this Palace until his death. Since then, behind the Palace stuck the name of Palazzo Re Enzo. Famous for its unusual acoustics.

  • This palace has a main room on top that is opened for special event and is very beautiful, lavishly decorated.
  • Talk against the wall of the Voltone del Palazzo Re Enzo. Thanks to its perfect sound transmission system, you will be able to communicate from the opposite corners of the gallery.
  • Must visit
  • Regular place for pictures
  • A Palace testimony of medieval Bologna where Enzo was imprisoned King of Sardinia and son of Frederick II of Swabia. A monument beautiful unfortunately not open to the public except on occasions of special events. Place right in Piazza Maggiore, the heart of Bologna.
