  • The edifice was created to House a Museum and it shows. The halls are sometimes great and sometimes incredibly unbalanced volume shrunk. Who is affected and the collection of works, not great, which is often penalized by the placement. The previous seat was definitely better suited for a Museum of modern art, and you suspect that, having to change, in Bologna there were other spaces more suitable than this (what about spaces ex STAVECO that would allow a development type Turin Rivoli/Museum?)

  • My only question is about the staff. If you can take pictures only with a permit that takes the bookshop why wasn't I told at the entrance? And because the Lady watch-sale must try to force me to go downstairs when I say that I can also help it to make the pictures? Put up a sign so that one should get ready or not, and should not stop visiting just for your strange need to control who photographer. Thank you.

  • The Museum is small and interesting works, shame about the welcome is the Organization nothing short of scandalous! We went with our sons, accustomed always to visit museums and as usual joined us adults: throughout our route, even though we were all silent and attentive to the works around us, we were constantly followed by the overseers, that they tampinati in every single room, sometimes by standing between us and the works ... A scandal! Ever experienced anything like this! If the intent is to move families and young people from culture, Kudos to Mambo because there is succeeding. Very romantic!

  • I went for David Bowie's exhibition and it was great. There were a lot of different rooms and each of them were very interesting and we'll thought.
  • Molto molto bello
  • David Bowie exhibit is 5 stars! MAMBo permanent collection is a dud. Do not pay the 6 euros for the permanent collection.
  • Good permanent collection. Very interesting work, and easy to take it all in in one visit. I only wish they had more substantial temporary exhibits. For visitors to Bologna that are art lovers, though, this is a great stop.
  • The MAMbo is situated near the old harbour, interesting site. I've seen a temporary exhibition of Pier Paolo Pasolini, one of the most influential and controversial artists in modern Italy. There was also a second floor with contemporary art, mostly italian artists. I can really recommend going, also there is a nice Café which sometimes turns into a club and the museum shop is also worthwhile (nice book about how to make pasta!)
