  • View full enough and cured in every detail that follows the life of the great singer, step by step. Being weekday didn't meet code (it was 11 and didn't book) but I think it is advisable to do so on other dates. At the entrance (included in the ticket as the lockers for bags, backpacks etc.) you get an audioguide "smart" that does not need to push buttons or volume than those numbers and allowing you to hear songs, explanations and whatnot depending on the room that you are visiting. The advantage of the exhibition I think, for those who do not know him or for anyone who is a fan, discover or rediscover what really was this great artist: very fascinating, always on the cutting edge, unconventional and usual canons, a forerunner of genres, styles and trends (musical and otherwise). You can swim, listening to his songs in the world Bowie: manuscripts, records, sheet music, costumes etc. Last but not least, the final room with walls from 10 x 10 with screens that transmit images and music and who, unsurprisingly, show of "dressing rooms" with mannequins wearing various costumes. Numerous staff, courteous and professional. As with all exhibitions at exit merchandising and gadgets with prices for jewelry and poorly supplied. Visit recommended to all lovers of music (although not superfans of Bowie).

  • Nice view, well maintained, full of things to see and hear. I enjoyed the technical solution of the headphones that are given to all visitors, with songs/explanations that start automatically depending on what you are watching. Congratulations to the organizers/stand builders. The online reservation system requires you to choose a specific time slot (so the cost is slightly reduced compared to the entrance open). The system allows you to enter directly jumping the queue with an offset of 30 minutes (more or less) than the scheduled time. This convenient lockers (for storing small backpacks/bags) and wardrobe.

  • A very disappointing visit - the great collection of Morandi is poorly displayed - as one of the great masters of Bologna he deserves a much much better and innovative display. We were the only visito...  read more »
  • The MAMbo is situated near the old harbour, interesting site. I've seen a temporary exhibition of Pier Paolo Pasolini, one of the most influential and controversial artists in modern Italy. There was also a second floor with contemporary art, mostly italian artists. I can really recommend going, also there is a nice Café which sometimes turns into a club and the museum shop is also worthwhile (nice book about how to make pasta!)
  • Good permanent collection. Very interesting work, and easy to take it all in in one visit. I only wish they had more substantial temporary exhibits. For visitors to Bologna that are art lovers, though, this is a great stop.
  • Li Songsong has incredible large paintings beautifully exhibited. The cafe and outdoor cafe are nice with friendly staff. The bookstore has great children's' books although cold employee who does not like her job. Large and light filled museum.
  • A reasonably small gallery when you are spoilt with the likes of the Tate Modern in London. A fantastic exhibition of Li Songsong work rather spoilt by ignorant and intrusive staff, which is similar throughout the museum. Expect to be followed and watched suspiciously throughout!
  • A great museum to fill a few hours in Bologna. The main exhibition focuses on the history of Italian modern art, but the guest exhibition during my visit was world class too (Li Songsong - Aug 2015) All for just 6 EUR. Bargain!
