  • The Museum, located in Palazzo Galvani of 400 is divided into several sections very well designed. Let me start by saying that an area is not currently open to visitors since being refurbished. At the start of the route lists everyone who contributed in various ways to its realization (excavations, cataloging artifacts, dating, ect). In the Museum there are prehistoric finds, Paleolithic, Neolithic, bronze age, Roman period. Numerous Flint artifacts similar to the Paleolithic. The findings related to the bronze age are more substantial (ceramic pottery, bone, Horn, metal). Well cared for the Etruscan area (URNs, vases, objects of daily use). It has an outstanding collection of coins. The Egyptian section includes an extensive collection of jewelry, amulets, sarcophagus, Canopic jars, commemorative statues.

  • The Museum was open only to the Egyptian collection of very interesting items, be sure to see the Egyptian enthusiasts think somewhere to be.

  • We were half since, by works of restoration, we could only visit the room - 1 (Egyptology) and the main floor (Roman). The Egyptian exhibition is to traverse with delay because it is more than interesting: mummies (also from animals such as cats and ibis), amulets, Papyri, ornaments... In the Roman part there is a sculpture of Nero. The cost of the ticket is € 3.

  • Best place in Bologna. Due some renovation was only available Egyption wing. But it was really great. And one of the best i saw
  • If you speak not a word of Italian, and the audio guides at the front desks have run out, then you are out of luck. The upstairs collection that holds a rich array of artifacts, almost all of which only have Italian captions. The important ones have some labels and descriptions in English, but most of them rely on the audio guide to give more in depth information. It is such a shame to have to send its guest on a blindfolded journey through its nice collection. Hence a star off.
  • I was astonished. There are a lot of evidence and species of antic life in Italy. It was done big part of job. What is more, there are numerous mummies which were brought from and entrance was free that was a small bonus
  • I love the Egypt collection. Still a lot of the signs are still in Italian, but from the museum they know, apologize and work on it. They also give some additional brochures in English. Very calm and nice place
  • Very helpful young man at the front desk. Interesting museum with great little sections on Etruscan and Greek history of Bologna. Wish it were better laid out.
