  • This was a fantastic day with the Alesssandros. From start (6.50 pick up) to end it was a really fun and informative day. You won’t need to eat for another 24 hours so don’t have anything other...  more »

  • A fantastic experience If you've planned a city break at the bologna, put on your list and the Italian Days Food Experience daily, FOOD TOURS will not look bad for you The day begins with the pickup at the hotel at 7am The first stop is at a Parmesan plant dampens a small DOP balsamic steel factory where a small breakfast is taken and then goes to a prosciutto factory Around 14:00 is lunch at the farm, ATTENTION here you have a lot of work, the food is excellent and abundant Otherwise I leave the pictures to tell you the word Thanks to our Riccardo Sacoo guide
  • Absolutely fantastic day out! Considered the cheaper tours but glad we went with these guys. An early start but means you get to see the whole process of cheese making. Everywhere we went was medium sized DOP producers. Great to learn what the producers have to do to get this classification. Adrianna was superb, great to see someone with such enthusiasm for showing people what she is passionate about. Wouldn’t change a thing. Loads of food and wine along the way with a fantastic dinner at the end. Highly recommended and Book direct!
  • We had a lovely time as part of Alessandro's food group in September. He was informative and humorous. It was great learning about the quality procedures and processes around these beautiful foods so you can really learn to appreciate the effort that goes in. My partner will never look at Balsamic the same again. Thanks for a lovely day! I especially loved my sabre experience.
  • What a great experience! Definitely get your money's worth! I drove in from Carpi (45 minutes away) for the start of the tour and I met the group at the SHG Hotel just outside Bologna around 7:30. This was great because the parking was free and it was a safe spot to leave my car. There were 6 of us in total, 4 guests, Ricardo the guide and Claudio the driver. We were first taken to the Parmigiano-Reggiano factory where we had a coffee and pastry breakfast. Then, we visited the Balsamic vinegar farm where we did a wine, cheese and meat tasting. After a tour of the facility, we tasted a variety of aged balsamic vinegars, which I must say was very interesting as I've never had it straight before. Next, we went to the prosciutto factory which was a very interesting experience. The floors were quite wet so I would recommend not wearing expensive clothes and shoes. The smell at times was very pungent, maybe not the best place for someone with a weak stomach. We again did a wine and meat tasting there and finally headed for lunch. Lunch was simple incredible as we had about 7 courses, all freshly prepared especially for us. It was a true Italian lunch as we spent close to 3 hours there! All the food was locally inspired and of course, there was more wine! Finally, at the end, we were dropped in the center of Bologna. Patrick, another guest, and I decided to continue exploring the city. Ricardo was really nice to us and stayed with us the whole evening, inviting us to meet his friends as well. Finally, he called me a cab back to the hotel and made sure I got in safely. Luckily I parked at the hotel since I had to get a room and sleep the wine off 😄. In summary, this was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to do a tasting in Bologna.
  • We did this tour for the second time last month, and it was again a wonderful experience, cannot recommend it highly enough! Guide Alessandro was fun, entertaining and informative, and the food and wine tastings were excellent. This would have to be an absolute highlight of any visit to Italy, if you are going to Bologna, do yourself a favour and take this tour!
