  • We visited this beautiful Cathedral with the expert guidance of a volunteer, very prepared, nice and polite that explained everything, absolutely everything, unstintingly ever. And to think that people as capable of enhancing our artistic heritage are simple volunteers ..., well sorry a lot!! Congratulations also to the Cathedral and the town of Bitonto

  • Bitonto is much too beautiful to spend only one or two days. There is a beautiful romantic old town with small, narrow streets. Highlight is certainly the Romanesque cathedral, considered the most beautiful in South Italy. The food is excellent, especially if you love the good typical cuisine of Puglia. Bitonto is somewhat sleepy on the day. But a typical Italian life begins from 17: 00. The children of great squares. The old sitting on the Piazza. And the Corso starts at 20: 00. If you want to immerse in the Apulian life, do not want to be overrun by tourists and want to relive the experience of the Italians, then on to Bitonto! Bitonto is a good starting point of its location for exploring from there from Puglia.

  • The Cattedrale San Valentino is perfect Romanesque of Puglia. Without towers, with a saddle-dachförmig chamfered, decorated front, she fascinated even from the outside. Entering through the main entrance, impresses the height of the central nave and the Romanesque features, also a giant baptismal font hewn from a rock piece from the middle ages.
