  • A shrine in honor of the fallen partisans in the battle of Bezzecca and the combatants of World War 1. You can visit and interesting even trenches were built by our soldiers in the great war. A shrine full of history and great memories; too bad I found closed the Church with the memorabilia and the Garibaldi Museum, a few hundred meters away.

  • Trentino is a region where traces of conflict fought by the Italians for the unity of their country are in full evidence easily accessible by everyone. Bezzecca was the star of both the III independence war that World War I and the country has managed to preserve the memories of the two conflicts. Shrine inside the Church of Santo Stefano is surrounded by trenches and communication trenches on the Hill dating back to Before the war. It is these that I was particularly impressed. Now are visited by tourists and convey a sense of profound stillness. But 100 years ago was to be quite different. Watch from loopholes and think about the collective and personal tragedies of that era really struck me. There is a point where the observer is virtually surrounded by trenches before which probably during the war many young people found themselves under fire. Fate, futility of war, human folly? Any thoughts on where we should reflect and a visit to the shrine can be a useful food for thought.
