  • The Church of San Silvestro is located in the heart of the medieval town of Bevagna, Umbria in piazza Silvestri. Walking in the alleys of the village you notice this fine example of Romanesque architecture in the region. The façade is unfinished, was to be composed of two orders and dominated by a belfry, as in the Church of San Michele (opposite). Bottom noticeable decorate with vines and Zoomorphic figures in bas-relief. Above, there are two beautiful mullioned Windows on a beautiful central window with spiral columns and made with Roman marbles of recovery. The Interior has a Basilica plan divided into three naves: very simple and impressive. Definitely worth a visit.

  • On the main square, next to the Church of the 12 century. Looks incomplete without a Spire, but fully corresponds to the architecture of that time. Modestly but fundamentally!

  • The Church of San Silvestro, finished by Baker in 1196, incumbent Henry VI, was the first valuable item in the beautiful square of Bevagna. Presents within a particular architectural and constructive element consisting of the time rampant. The Church faces East and is presented to the entire plan with three naves, is being studied by the company of Frederick II. Affected by the earthquake of 1997 has been restored thanks to the contribution of Prince Charles of England.
