  • The temple is a very small building, yet it's definitely worth seeing. It might not seem like something spectacular, especially in comparison with other churches but it has a very long history.  more »

  • This was built in 1133 and became what is known as the Bishops Chapel in 1169. It is remarkable how well the old building has been maintained. Access to inside the building was not available but those...  more »

  • Anyone know what it is? But I feel like it's a hidden Jem.
  • The Interior of this small Romanesque chapel walls are upholstered by some admirable frescos of the 11th century. Its simplicity and naivety in the treatment of images and scenes, almost childish, bring us closer to the mind of an artist, wonderful, without pumps or thunderclaps, much closer to the look of a farmer who's a clergyman or a courtier. Thus, if the visitor is lucky, like me, you can access the interior, you will appreciate a last supper, a last judgement, and a birth truly "fresh".

  • Beautiful small temple adjoining the basilica very particularly the circular layout of the building

  • Little gem of Lombard Romanesque architecture with a circular plan virtually intact. Very reminiscent of the Temple of s. Tome also in province of Bg. recently I was able to visit the Interior which consists of a classroom discussion with frescoes on two registers. The bottom of the ' 500 tells the legend of the discovery of the Holy Cross 4 lunettes. The upper one of 800 represents symbols of the 4 Evangelists with 4 church fathers and liturgical symbols with angels. Finally in the dome a glory of God the father in heaven.

  • In fine weather, make sure to watch around the tower.
