  • In via Pignolo, one of historic streets that joins the upper part to the lower part of Bergamo, between one of the most important churches and mansions of the city is the Church of Sant ' Alessandro worth a visit even if you are fast.

  • According to legend, the history of this church go almost times the martyr Alexander at 4 century, while its façade was finished in. .. the year 1922. To the name of the Church was added the word "cross" (Croce), because it was built at the intersection of the 4-piece of medieval towns. The Church is well preserved masterpieces inside.

  • It is a beautiful church, no less than the others, every church has its symbolism, rich or poor, Catholic or in the middle of the Savannah, between sorcerers of the tribe! To note that there is another St. Alexander, depicted as a soldier, belonging (now) to complex Deconsecrated oratory of San Lupo! In the area, further upstream, in the upper town, stands another complex (St. Augustine) even it NOW Deconsecrated and home to universities, think-tanks, with an adjoining Park (very accessible and usable/with parking and refreshment service during summer). The area, following the second World, is rich in churches and g. sites (former College Baroni) desecrated/because of the Germans and then by the allies (landing), Accademia Carrara and Gamec testify (art libraries, the memory of the city in all its artistic expressions (from literature to painting, from sculpture to the frescoes, from music to dance)
