  • Upper city impressed all and lots of attractions per square kilometer. We are lucky to live in the upper city, so we can admire them early in the morning and late at night, when there are no crowds and meet, mostly locals.

  • Visited 10-12 Mar. I parked close by at the lower city and took the trail close by the Funiculare. Followed the trail to the bridge and entered at Porta S. Giacomo. Citta Alta (Upper City) build up on...  more »
  • The upper town is undoubtedly the main attraction of the town with its maze of streets, fountains, squares, palaces and museums and the famous Venetian walls. To reach it you can choose a walk to via pignolo, passing by the fountain of the dolphin, or using the many ladders as that of Saint lucia; by bus line 1A from the station and from porta nuova, or by funicular from the lower town. Do not recommend the drive for accessibility (many ztl restricted traffic and pedestrian areas, car parks-dear). The walls you can enjoy a breathtaking view and lovely about the province and city low, coming to see even the skyline of Milan and the profile of the Apennines in the clearest days. In the village you can choose between a simple walk, shopping in the numerous shops and taste the local products, or simply engage in cultural activities to discover the history of the city and of the period of Venetian rule. Missed the Trento area and the hills, the access doors on the Venetian walls and the old square. Accessibility for people with physical disabilities and walking frames is not guaranteed and safe in all places, Council inquire thoroughly before your visit.

  • Nice place with lovely food and friendly staff.
  • Great place for beer, variety and quality are awesome. Food ia very good, last time I had casoncelli alla bergamasca, definitely worth a try. Service is fast and the olace is usually quiet.
