Explore the medieval history of Bergamo in La Citta Alta. Perched on a hill overlooking the rest of the city, this upper city is surrounded by 17th-century Venetian walls and is home to the majority of Bergamo's historic buildings and cultural heritage sites. Admire colorful frescoes and Romanesque architecture at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. Visit the 14th-century castle that anchors the old city. You can walk from the lower city or take the funicular for views of the city and countryside. • Cosy bar/pub great local Bergamasca beer.
  • Ok... got one of our meals wrong (unapologetically ) but quality was typical. Beer selection good.
  • Nice cozy place, a bit small, but has good choice of beer, both draft and bottled. Got free crisps for the beer.)
  • Great choice of beers, affordable prices
  • Small pub in a strategic location, right next to the old square. Not having many seats often do not find place, offers a decent selection of beers at a fair price.
