  • If you go to visit the convent in Bergamo Alta, don't stop at the first cloister. You come down and admire the second with its impressive views of the valle Seriana.

  • Monastery of San Francesco is located in the so-called upper town. Admission is free, within the preserved frescoes. The building also houses the town's historical Museum.

  • It was supposed to be a very good structure, unfortunately now is rather neglected, the rest over the years (or rather the centuries) has changed several times its intended use. It's also a bit sheltered compared to other important historic buildings of Bergamo Alta and no indication the reports, you have to really look for it. It's basically a younger brother and I think doesn't deserve, in fact on the day of our visit we were the only ones while at 200 meters away, the tide of tourists transiting undeterred towards other beauties. And the guides because you don't consider it? The Fondazione Bergamo nella Storia should definitely do something!

  • It only conserves a cloister very soulless and without ornamentation. Visit free, recommended only if you have time to stroll and enjoy the area.
