  • Always a park frequented but that can give always a quiet corner at all. A pleasant visit to the Museum of rural life present in the premises of the estate.

  • The historic complex of Villa Smeraldi-surrounded by a beautiful park in the countryside of San Marino di Bentivoglio-houses the Museum of the country civilization, one of the earliest and most important Italian collections of material evidence of labor and peasant life; the materials (artifacts and tools, photos and archival documents, texts) attest to the life in the countryside of the Bologna plain up to the mid-20th century, studied in socio-economic and anthropological perspective. The Museum also promotes-in collaboration with Universities, municipalities and cultural associations-outreach and educational initiatives for schools and the public and important projects of study and research on rural civilization of the territory, with particular emphasis on the economic and social history and dialect. Villa Park and Museum are run by the institution Villa Smeraldi-Museum of rural life in the province of Bologna, which supports their activities together with the municipalities of Bentivoglio, Castel Maggiore, Bologna, with contributions from private sponsors and the collaboration of The Stadura Group. • Villa Smeraldi is fabulous, the Museum of civilization is very attractive, inside and outside images and "equipment" of rural life. The park that surrounds it and a small bar inside in the afternoon which offers delicious drinks on weekends and crescentine close the frame. A few kilometres from Bologna, a real OASIS, yet uncrowded!
