Visit a picture-perfect beach at Cala Luna, which boasts white sand and clear water backed by limestone cliffs. This beach is popular with families, and the water is calm for easy swimming. You can visit the beach from Cala Gonone, where boats leave every hour during the daytime. Make a side trip to the nearby Grotta del Bue Marino, a sea cave where monk seals are said to have once lived. Cala Luna Reviews
Sea too stormy for boats so we walked there and back from Cala Fulji about 2 to 2.30hours each way and quite a hard walk up and down the coast but well worth it . Not forgetting the walk through the s... more »
Et c'est parti pour 1h40 à pied, la marche est plutot sympa, rien de bien difficile, c'est évidemment fatiguant car il y a quelques montées et descentes. Il y a de multiples "sols" différents, rochers... more »And go for 1 h 40 on foot, the market is rather nice, nothing too difficult, obviously tiring because there are some climbs and descents. There are of multiple "" different soils, rocks, large stones, rockery, ground. It is obvious that this hike is not in flip flops (as we have come across...), as is the fact that it becomes dangerous if it rained (some places slide even without water). There are some wonderful views on Cala Gononne and Cala Luna, but not much. There are plenty of cute little lizards and many butterflies that accompany us in this market. Despite our vigilance, we have not seen the path to the cave, nothing is shown. Cala Luna, to follow the red dots, which sometimes turn into green arrows and then into triangular signs engraved on the stones and then in... nothing... At this time of year, the Sun is low, we were in the shade 2/3 of the way. This big beach sand is rather pretty, pebbles and stones in the water, so not Super enjoyable without water shoes, water is beautiful is crystal clear. The caves at Calu Luna are two of them greatly tagged by people who had to find this super romantic of leaving their mark on the walls and damaging so beautiful places! The last caves was littered with waste (toilet paper, towel, bottles etc), how sad, it was really dirty. The return? We also have feet, everything first because that's a lot of good, and also and above all because it is sad to see that ball of boats (yachts of wealthy families with servants, boats from Cala Gononne who pour the) tourists). Frankly, at this time of the year the flow of tourists is not huge but I think that if we all make an effort, these magical places can at least remain so, and the magic is disappearing to Cala Luna. (For those who can not walk, there are also canoe). Cala Luna is a very pretty Beach, but far from being "one of the most beautiful of Sardinia".
Insgesamt 2 Ausflüge habe wir unternommen: 1. Wanderung (Cala Fuili nach Cala Luna) Insgesamt eine Strecke von ca. 5 km über Stock und Stein. Der Weg ist teilweise steil und uneben. Also Wanderschuhe ... more »2 excursions we've taken: 1. hike (Cala Fuili to Cala Luna) total a distance of 5 km over hill and Dale. The road is partly steep and uneven. So walking shoes and a good level of fitness are required. Also 2 litres of water per person. In the postseason, the grottoes were already closed and the way some muddy. Due to the uneven floor 2 hours hike mostly spent looking down, so that it is not wrong. That was of course a shame. Otherwise absolutely pristine nature. In Cala Luna there is a beach bar and from here, the taxi ride boats back again. Taxi boat cost €10.00 per person. 2. boat trip from Cala Ganone out there are different providers. The tour costs €35.00 per person and takes about 5 hours along the coast. This was absolutely worthwhile, because to get a good overview and can enjoy the nature. Various stops for swimming and relaxing including. Cala Goloritzé, Cala Marioulu, caves, Cala Luna, etc. Great water game depending on the light. Stunningly beautiful.
The beach is beautiful abd quite big but pretty crowded especially with ferries carrying people back and forth. You can take a hike from Cala Fuili which easily takes 2-3 hours one way. Be sure to have 3 liters of water per person for two ways and some snacks. Along all the path you will find triangular signs so it's easy to find your way. During day time it will be very hot so make sure to protect your head and skin from the sun. The hiking path is longer and more difficult than the one at Cala Goloritze. The beach is not as cool as Cala Goloritze and the hiking path is harder so if you are hiking try to consider it as a whole experience, don't just aim at the beach only. There are places with natural shadow at the beach from the rocks and grottos so you can save yourself from the sun.
Beautiful beach with great caves. No trash bins, so pick your own bags. Only one, not so nice and expensive bar nearby. You can get a 10€ ferry to Gonome or use great tourist trail
We parked our car at cala fuili and hiked to cala Luna beach which was abour 3 hrs with water breaks. U need good shoes, plenty of watet, hat, sun screen and in good shape. The hike is very rough but enjoyable and absolutely worth it at the end. Stunning view, great calm water to swim. We didnt buy food here so not sure about food but had cold beer and a nice late. We took the ferry back to ganone as there is no direct ferry to fuili. 10 euro per person. Then there is a taxi including in the ticket that picks u up from ganone to fuili. Overall amazing experience. Have a good breakfast before the hike!
Awesome place that you don't want to miss
Amazing location, it was gonna be a 5 stars but it is a bit too crowded and a bit exploited, 1 ichnusa for 5€!!
