  • Located in a scenic area, an oasis of peace and silence. Frescoes by unknown artists that transmit messages of life are still valid.

  • This place is beautiful, is an Italian gem that should be emphasized and known. Stayed here accompanied by the owner of the farm the cuckoo. The church opens, in fact, only on Sundays through the work of volunteers. The Interior is stunning. The Church is completely painted and only the wall upstream underwent heavy damage. Beautiful frescoes of the fourteenth century that show the life of Christ, heaven, hell and the life of Christ. A must visit! Go for it!

  • A few kilometers from the rich and famous area of great wines of Langa, near Bastia Mondovì, stands among the green countryside of the Church of San Fiorenzo, a jewel of Gothic art. Built on the Saint's Tomb at the beginning of the 2nd millennium, as tangible evidence of a deep faith, handed down for generations, was first "Pilgrim's Chapel" which overlooked one of the most important salt routes and, through the image of the great Saint Christopher painted over the entrance, urging passersby to stop, Bastia was then (1200) a private Villa di Mondovì which had first given the origins , and now followed the alternating fortunes; already in 1400, however, strong and independent, will constitute the first nucleus of the Savoy Dominion in the Langhe. Entrusted in 1409 the Della Torre family, full of not only financial resources but also by a deep Christian faith, Bastia was in Bonifacio of the Tower the patron who, imbued with zeal and passion to the expansion of the small church of San Fiorenzo, realizing the splendid chapel that today we can admire. Its simple structure encloses within a cycle of frescoes so amazing and impressive to leave amazed the visitor. Are neatly 326 sqm. of frescoes in several coats from popular schools of 15th century polychrome walls, simple art, strips of tinsel but full of mysticism and deep religiosity; a "Bible of the poor" that, through the stories of Saints, from the life and passion of Christ, heaven and hell, catechesis to educate, teach and comfort not only simple people of the rural community, but also the enchanted visitor today. The frescoes carry the date of 24 June 1472.
