At the site of the palazzo Marra, hosts the permanent exhibition of the famous Impressionist painter Dalton. Born in Barletta, lived mainly in France, and after his death some of his paintings were donated to the city of Barletta, who renovated the building designed to house them. The exhibition extends over two floors, night very well kept and with air conditioning (very welcome in the day of August). On the first floor there are the first works, but the best is waiting on the second floor, where there are important and wonderful paintings. Pity that lack of most popular famous works, but all in all it is worth visiting this exhibition. Also with the same ticket I was able to visit the Castle, which I highly recommend.

After seeing so many paintings of De Nittis everywhere I wanted to see his collection in the art gallery named after him. Visiting deserved the hours spent inside the halls. The paintings are well laid out and very good. As so often though I haven't found a high number of visitors (but I blame the heat of late July 2017).

Great representative of Impressionism De Nittis.Il Museum is worth a visit. Truly romantic seascapes, a London as if suspended in its mist, the famous breakfast in the garden and then his muse, his wife, thanks to which the city had a gift his wondrous art. All in the frame of palazzo della Marra is a Baroque jewel.

  • De Nittis is a not very well know Italian painter that will remind you of the more famous french impressionists. The building is a beautiful example of italian baroque and worth the visit on its own.
  • Really beautiful and interesting even for those, like myself, is neither a fan nor a connoisseur of painting! The paintings of Giuseppe De Nittis, Impressionist painter of the second half of 1800, apart from being truly beautiful are also very engaging ... in the way that watching them well you seem really to live that particular situation or landscape depicted. Really beautiful. The Council, even if you pay a ticket 4 euro.

  • Beautiful building that allows you to make a wonderful journey into the past.

  • We visited the exhibition, but the building we hit for its harmonious structure and the careful restoration, especially considering that only thirty years ago was abandoned (like many other buildings in the area, unfortunately). Deserves especially the balcony overlooking the sea.
