  • Quite spectacular on the outside, the inside is partially disappointing. You visit the inner courtyard and rooms on the upper floors that offer a good view of the Harbor, the public gardens and over part of the city. Probably the most interesting part is the internal one, with its rooms in stone, but I was able to visit as they were occupied by an exhibition that I did not unfortunately have time to see. Therefore my judgment is only partial.

  • You might very well be said to be left intact. Kept in excellent condition, visitable in every space, from the towers to the halls, right down to the dungeons. Has a very interesting Civic Museum (not sure whether on a permanent or if momentarily), and when we went to visit him in the basement, was laid out a beautiful view over Hannibal. Very charming, with views of the sea and the little picturesque port of Barletta, surrounded by a park and equipped areas where you can have a quick meal or rest before visiting the rest of the city that truly deserves.

  • The castle outside is very nice, the upstairs is a nice art gallery on the ground floor a nice lay in the basement room x large and beautiful ceremonies, currently hosts an exhibition almost exclusively descriptive over Hannibal, the great Carthaginian General. From the terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the sea.

  • Great landmark. Though the castello in Bari looks and feels better. This one appears a little out of place to its surroundings.
  • One of the largest and best preserved castles in Puglia. Play with the echo in the giant halls at the base of the towers, visit the contemporary art exhibition in the basement and look at the city from above while walking on the wall perimeter.
  • One of the symbols of my city. Majestic structure, exceptional State of preservation, surrounded by the splendid villa comunale, sea front; the beauty of being able to visit almost completely (from the basement to enormous external walkways). For those who visit it now, going on a trip with some exhibition Hannibal, beautiful on display (the bust of the Quirinale, the most famous image of the Carthaginian military leader, and a stunning bronze armor borrowed from the Bardo Museum in Tunis) on the first floor the Municipal Museum, with works of the 17th century 18th century Neapolitan (V, father and son, Jordan, Mengs, De Mura) and of the main painters Babs (Garada , Gulls, Dami); even a small Cellini collection C. Don't forget to take a walk in the ' terrace '. A must for anyone visiting Barletta.

  • The imposing Castle of Barletta, impressive fortress situated a few steps from the Adriatic Sea, was built by the Swabians towards the 13th century as a defensive fortress in the city. Today is one of the most important historical buildings of the whole Apulia. The scenic Castle is composed of a four-sided structure characterized by four massive angular bastions that throw themselves on top of deep ditches. The entrance leads to the spacious courtyard, summer seat of cultural events, featuring opening spaces to the basement where you can admire the sea wall of the palatium angioino and the bastion of St. Anthony. Up towards the upper floors leads to different environments, including the Civic Museum, the library and the boardroom. Of remarkable interest is also the terrace, from which you can admire the charming port of Barletta. Not far from the Castle stands the beautiful Cathedral of Barletta, also called Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral, by the 11th century. Leaving the duomo leads to the historic square of the challenge, from which you have to cross the port gate, the only visible reminder of the ancient city walls before reaching the port.
