  • It was fun and informative visit with friends this extraordinary place where the spirit of the Pastures hovered everywhere. A lot has come back here because of that sister Mary harpy who has often influenced the poet's life choices. Pascoli was defender of animals that you don't put a leash on your dog, don't turn it on fire if there was a nest of bees inside and so on. Outside, under a column, her dog's grave. Three desks depending on the type of studies that had to deal with.

  • The Foundation aims to enhance cultural and tourist heritage left by John and Mary Pascoli at Castelvecchio. Here the poet spent more peaceful years of his life until his death. His sister Mary oversaw assets of his brother for forty years, faithfully preserving the structure, furnishings, layout of spaces. Only after his death in 1953, the House, inherited from the Comune di Barga to his legacy, underwent some renovations and upgrades, such as the insertion of electric light. The building, which was declared a national monument, is on three floors, surrounded by a garden, a garden and a chapel restored by pastures, where Mary lies next to his brother. An exciting visit, the poet's spirit hovers everywhere

  • I visited many homes "famous" and found, in most of them, they look very Museum (see the Greek House or that of Pirandello). Here it seems that the poet will be released at any moment to recite a prose ... ... very impressive site!
