  • The Castle, also known as the fortress due to its characteristics, it stands on a spur of rock (red Jasper) and overlooks the confluence of the Renovated in Ceno. Of yantichissima origin, there is no trace in fact documents about the year 900, the castle with its imposing mass looms over the village. In about 1200 was bought by important family of Landi of Piacenza who in later centuries increased their fortunes and came to conquer a role of absolute pre-eminence, much that was born a Lady who even minted its own money. When the Landi family since his last descendant married a Doria, the castle was then traded to the Farnese, the Bourbons and followed the fortunes of these families, coming to miss the important role it had in the past. Today it remains an important and valuable testimony of a past and a long history. Part of the documents and furnishings of Landi are then finished by marriage between the Doria Pamphili, the Doria Pamphili family. Today the castle is owned by the municipal administration of bards, with an intelligent policy of exploitation, promotes exhibitions, conventions, historical reenactments of past events, so as to make known the Castle and Bards. Among other things the fortress is part of the circuit of the castles of the Duchy. A trip to Bardi is indeed a pleasant opportunity to expand their knowledge of history.

  • The night tour of 2hrs was wonderful--perfect organization, a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Like the idea of being a place impregnable undergone since fake entrance and then move on to various levels beautifully preserved ... at night you lose your chance to enjoy the view but the atmosphere is undoubtedly better. The ghost nn visited us but its appeal has been with us throughout the visit.

  • A really nice Castle, big, rich, halls, museums, courtyards, walkways, panoramic views. Perhaps you see little furniture, zero weapons, but so much more: civiltà della Val Ceno with tube, archeology, fauna, brigandage, paintings and Museum environments 7 instruments of torture. Though ... (that's why I put 5 bullets) in the absence of any guided tour, as happened to us (although I did not understand why since there must have been at 11) is a little difficult to follow the path because the guide book has numbered milestones, but are numbers that are not reflected in the Castle; It would hang placards with the same numbers and arrows to indicate where to find the next number, truly a simple intervention that would enhance the visit. Visiting time: 1 hour and a half.

  • Very nice scenic fortress with tons of museums and things to see.
  • Majestic! Location is super nice, the castle is extremely interesting and impressive for his size and location. Some nice restaurants near it and souvenir shops.
  • Lovely historic castle with stunning views of the surrounding countryside
  • I love castles, but this is awesome great. Brings you back in time images in the life of the Lords the Landi, and all the people who lived in the place. Try indescribable sensations, then the legend of the ghost of Romoello and creepy. I always hoped to "meet", hope dies last
