A nice place for a walk or picnic, Villa Lante features huge fountains, grottos, and ancient statues surrounded by shaded walkways and geometric shrub gardens. Composed of two Mannerist-style buildings, the villa itself dates back to the 16th century. The ducal family lived here until it was severely damaged in World War II. Dr. Angelo Cantoni then acquired and restored it. The garden is part of the Grandi Giardini Italiani, a garden association that includes many of Italy's historic gardens. Opened in 1656, these gardens predate the great gardens of Italy and France, and have influenced them. Beautiful and mathematically precise, the gardens tell a story. This is worth a 2 hour drive. more »

Prezzo contenutissimo, vale la pena visitarla, magari in estate e non in inverno come abbiamo fatto noi. Lì è stata girata la serie TV The Young Pope. more »Reasonable price, well worth exploring, perhaps in summer and in winter as we did. There was filmed The TV series The Young Pope.

È un posto fantastico, giardino che ti lascia senza parole! L'unica pecca, che si possono visitare le stanze solo alcuni giorni del mese, mi sarebbe tanto piaciuto guardare di più! L'aspetto più bello... more »Great place, garden that leaves you speechless! The only flaw, you can visit the rooms just a few days of the month, I would have loved to watch more! The best thing and after a visit to stay in the Park ... with a 1 year old we had a long walk in the meadow and to be able to spend as much time as we wanted!
This is such a beautiful place, not touristic and a real gem! The palace has nice decorations, and the garden is amazing with the fountains. Take a lunch with you and enjoy the grounds!
Beautiful gardens. Not too big so the kids didn't get bored either. Wonderful landscape architecture and water features.

Sara LisciWe stayed at this lovely place on the first Sunday of the month, being a State Museum was free. Is very nice indeed, extraordinary Italian gardens, fountains, lovely, what struck me most is that of the Giants (they would probably do with a bit more maintenance), inside there is also a beautiful park. Everything revolves around the theme of the sea. Just a pity that they are not open to the two structures that will form the backdrop.
Juyoung HwangOne of the major Renaissance garden. Taking advantage of the terrain and water well. If you want to understand the developing school programs from the top down to the bottom of the garden-entrance to the access road and even public transportation is not possible; do not. Rome Flaminio Ferrovia Roma-Viterbo line ride at Bagnaia. During the summer, except for the dispatcher to check ahead of time because time is very mobile. awake and move the vehicle is recommended.
