  • Descending from the North would have liked to visit this splendid villa, with all the works of Guttuso. Unfortunately for the second year in a row, we couldn't visit. Get there before the August 16, having first checked by the site of the villa if it were open, we found a sign that says: closed from 16/8 to 18/8. In addition to us as well as other tourists from various parts of Italy, had to leave with a huge Disappointment!

  • Stop not to be missed for those who love Baroque villas come back to their former glory. The villa houses the Museo di Guttuso, exposure well set out and rich media content. Tickets cost 4 euros with card DO

  • The villa housing the Museum Guttuso, with a considerable Fund left by the artist bequeathed to his town of origin, that much is due to commit to honor the gift and has managed only-unfortunately-to the intervention of the Ministry of the BB. CC ... Unfortunately because if as Mayor have a pictorial background conspicuous as that preserved Villa Cattolica, I would do anything to make it an absolute magnet to my city, but that's part of the more general disbelief that culture can be an element of development, if surrounded by intelligent attentions. As for the artist, has different tastes. By Guttuso cannot be said-something, as by Caravaggio – which may not like it, ... The artist was, in life, very divisive. I personally find that the sensitivity of Guttuso was unusual and that many beautiful paintings certainly deserve a careful visit.

  • Wonderful, impressive palace and exterior of the building. Guttusos includes paintings, prints, sculptures are very strong, and often personal. Also shows Guttuso's personal art works collection, and some bits of Sicilian must, like Giambecchina's. Take a good couple of hours to enjoy. Better during the day so can take daylight pics. Shocking the close cement factory just visible from many angles of the venue - very nice all together.
  • I visited this museum waiting to see some Gatusso pictures, video or so... But this is not the football player museum. LOL Even if this not football, you can find a great pieces of art, sculptures, and old furniture. The entry is a little bit expensive and you have to ask for the timetable. Or have a look to the website.
  • Beautiful.
  • One of the most beautiful villas and imposing of Sicily! This 18th century villa was built by the Prince of Cattolica Eraclea and 70 years following the donation of numerous works by the famous Sicilian painter Renato Guttuso in Bagheria, the municipality decided to transform this villa in one of the museums the most exciting and beautiful region! Visit is mandatory, there is preserved a piece of history of Sicily!

  • Villa charming pretty well maintained externally. Mammoth, gigantic and too visible degradation is right there next to it. A mega unused and crumbling rusty industrial structure. Too bad my giufizio is negative. Not worth the trip.
