  • CAPO Miseno is the very tip of the peninsula flegrea, near the port of Misenum, in the municipality of Bacoli. On the promontory are an ancient Saracen Tower anti-called "Low Tower", and at the top there are still remains of pillboxes and fortifications dating back to World War II. Offers views of the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida. Marks the boundary between the Gulf of Pozzuoli and Procida. It is home to a lighthouse very important for coastal navigation. At Capo Miseno salt a road paved from numerous ruins from the Roman era. The road crosses the mountain with a modern Gallery and ends at a terrace over looking the Gulf of Pozzuoli, near the lighthouse of Miseno. From this terrace you can walk to the top of Capo Miseno thanks to a trail paved with Tuff blocks, which goes up the slope of the ancient caldera of the volcano. At the foot of the Cape, is the beach of Miliscola, popular seaside resort during the summer. The place, the beautifully suggestive, invokes in its name the epic Aeneas Aeneas's trumpeter Misenus was the fact, that having defied Newt in the sound of the trumpet, was from those thrown into the sea where he drowned miserably. ENEA, found his body tossed by the waves on the beach, it provides the fire, then buries him under a huge mound (the Capo Miseno precisely), almost a magnificent Tomb in memory of the heroic perennial Companion.

  • Great place, especially weekend evenings! There are many restaurants and beaches which also give disk! A beautiful place if you are looking for something different from your usual routine on Saturday night! The presence of paid parking stripes on blue is both modest price for the entire evening! To get to lidi once laid the car you have to walk for about 4-500 meters! And a lot of crowded especially in summer!
