  • I've been coming here every summer at Tagliacozzo, having a House not far away! Is a spectacular country, which retains its medieval charm. The fair of tagliacozzo is famous, every Thursday, a must if you are in the area. I would go back immediately from Rome, but winter temperatures are hard to bear

  • Built on the slopes of Mount Bove, a few kilometers from Lazio, Tagliacozzo is medieval Frankish and built in the era of the dominance of the invasions of the Saracens (IX century). Among the religious buildings to visit the Council the Church of Santi Cosma e Damiano, dating back to the 8th century in Romanesque style; the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate (first half of 400); the sanctuary of Maria Santissima dell'oriente (14th century), which houses an image of the Virgin escaped the iconoclastic fury of Leo III the Isaurian. the Church of St. Francis, housing the tomb of the first biographer of St. Francis: the blessed Tommaso da Celano. During the first half of the ' 300, under the management of the family Orsini, Palazzo Ducale was built at Tagliacozzo, graced by mullioned Windows, staircases and frescoes in the inner rooms depicting the life of Christ.

  • Returning to Rome we decided to head down to Tagliacozzo to visit ... She's very pretty there is a nice Park and from there begins the main road that goes to the central square where there is a nice fountain but it was so cold that ice had formed. There are several online St ... churches. bar and trattorie...ci again for a weekend.
