Categories: Mountains, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.8/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
Tre Cime di Lavaredo or “the three peaks of Lavaredo” measure up at 3 km (1.9 mi) in elevation. They have long represented a border or a battleground: You’ll still find fortifications, man-made caves, and plaques commemorating World War I in this area. Although these mountains are accessible by toll road, you can experience the best views via excursions on foot. If you don’t have much mountaineering experience, consider the circuit around the base of the peaks.
