Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Auronzo di Cadore

Mountain Nature / Park
Tre Cime di Lavaredo or “the three peaks of Lavaredo” measure up at 3 km (1.9 mi) in elevation. They have long represented a border or a battleground: You’ll still find fortifications, man-made caves, and plaques commemorating World War I in this area. Although these mountains are accessible by toll road, you can experience the best views via excursions on foot. If you don’t have much mountaineering experience, consider the circuit around the base of the peaks. • "Mom, it's time to use those shoes Salomon. Since you bought 5 years ago, you used only once and to eat tigelle downtown in Singapore ". After dinner in a residence in Borca di Cadore, the forecast is optimistic for tomorrow until at least 13; in the morning there is the circumnavigation of the three peaks that, besides to guarantee a superb one at 360° view of these jewels, in practice it can also become an interesting magnalonga in 4 stages in the 4 shelters encountered during the ronda mountains. In Misurina pay the toll (€25 are many, but it's worth it because these giant 3 we've got them just us) and started the time trial overview (and here with the Cadini di Misurina and with the Group of Sorapis we played the first GB smartphone Card) to the parking lot of the Auronzo hut where you park the car. "Mom. I understand that the mountain air stimulates, but at least wait until the next retreat to begin the magnalonga: we still have to start walking! ". First choice. Take the ronda clockwise (path 101) or counterclockwise (105)? We leave in the counterclockwise direction with the 101 to the Lavaredo. The whole flat, we pass the Church of Madonna della Croda Mountain and 25 minutes you get to the Lavaredo and where the first slice of strudel and meanwhile left us the second Gig of the Card. Now, however, there is a short climb that takes you to a saddle, fork Lavaredo, where finally understand why the tops are three (from the West side we counted at the beginning two, then four, then we found a fifth ashore at the foot of the peaks in many strips flaked and then by the Lavaredo only one) and in this superb Visual play on third and fourth gig. Second choice. We're at altitude in costa to Croda Passport and come in flat to down from the saddle or along the driveway Locatelli (only for service vehicles for Lee) and then we go back to the shelter? The second. Bad choice, but only because we then mother's day in the final climb's Mahmoud expletives but along the way we encountered a beautiful terrace with the magnificent "Visual Novi Chocolate" on the Drei Zinnen. SPEECHLESS. Locatelli and here we sit at the table. Sweet and yet still very well. Third choice. Now we have to close the ronda. We understand from the looks of those arriving at Lang from Langalm that to return to the Auronzo along the 105 will not be a cakewalk for us used to walking only to 38 metres a.s.l., and then wisdom (that is to say, the poor want to hear a constant Rosary of lamentations) advises us: "mom, you go right back to the Lavaredo by the same the way you came that me and Daddy go to the Langalm. Down this trail and then keep left at the fork and then the 101. It's very easy because from the Lander to the Lavaredo is not lost even a baby! ". A baby No, but my mother .... The return to the Auronzo via Langalm along the 105 is definitely more challenging. A lot of ups and downs and at least 1.30-2 h of course, but worth doing. Passed the Alpine Lakes of Langalm (.. This time we do the good: no strudel ...) with last ascent you reach the second saddle, fork Col di Mezzo, that "closes" the Valley to the East of the three peaks from which you have a splendid view on Lake Misurina. From there to get to the Auronzo is a health and, wonder, we get also perfectly synchronous with mom. Celebrating the family company seated at the Auronzo in front of three sandwiches with freshly sliced mortadella and a freshly tapped beer. Today, 8/7/17, what do we want more out of life? Good walk and good wonder at all
