  • Arrived with the shuttle service from Misurina, maybe its not cheap, you get in a short time walk in a scenario of trenches and shelters, which invites you to linger and think at the same time. It is certainly not cured, indeed pervades a sense of abandonment of these that were places of suffering, but at least you can turn freely. The arrival of a thunderstorm forced us to a forced withdrawal and advance. Pity that the arrival of the shuttle, they had nothing left to eat, already at 14.30.

  • A place where our guys have suffered needlessly for will of others fighting often against their acquaintances.

  • We hopped on the Monte Piana by shuttle from Misurina. The Monte Piana is about 2,300 meters and is divided in two by a small valley the "Fork of Castrati". The two opposing sides were Italians and Austrians; fought each other for over two years from 1915 to 1917 to tear the cold steel the whole Mount, as great as a few football fields; Nobody won; According to the fold there were 14,000 dead. All surrounded by a beautiful landscape on the Monte Cristallo and the three peaks. In June there was a magnificent display but it was not enough to make me forget the stupidity of war. Visit it and respect him.

  • Open daily and free admission, is small but with an interesting war Kit. Visit marks the visitor is encouraged to meditate on the miserable sufferings of mournful first world war.

  • Closes in mid-September about, however in October closed. So nothing to say, very nice location of waterfalls, just behind the Museum (always open). Three stars because they could do one day a week is also open for those who cannot go in the summer.

  • If you are passing to Sappada, pay a visit to the small Museum of the great war. Admission is free and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The Museum is small, but the show is really complete. The material is absolutely original and in exceptional condition.
