  • This morning, after having walked the path of Cerreto, I stopped here for a quick stop, with the intention of visiting this Abbey. As pointed out by other reviewers, the Abbey outside doesn't say much; looking at the facade you are tempted to go further without entering. But it's worth it. The Church has a particular open previous building on the foundations of the apse; You can access the apse by a Boardwalk to see the bones of San Caprasio, uncovered (a tad macabre). Next to the church there is a small museum; admission is free and a very friendly person turn on all the lights to allow the visit. The visit takes away lot of time, but it is worth visiting the Museum, if only to appreciate the Organization of the exhibits. Caprasius was a Benedictine monk that you ignore the date and place of birth. He lived at Lérins. His remains were brought to Aulla at the end of the ninth century, when Adalbert II of Tuscany married Bertha of Provence

  • A simple basilica, just restored and welcoming for worshipers in need of its own moment of recollection. Recommend the small museum dedicated to the monastic life to her left.
