Get lost in the midst of Atrani, through alleys and steps, and you reach Amalfi, passing in burrows fresh in summer and winter. Wonderful experience, hard to imagine a location accompanied by Navigator. Better this way.

You can see immediately the cartel ATRANI UNESCO right at the entrance of the town on route 163. And indeed Atrani is a delightful village, one of the most beautiful in Amalfi, gathered around the lovely piazza Umberto I and via a large arch connects directly to the sea. Rich in narrow streets, arches and stairways that wind between whitewashed houses, Atrani seems a small Ostuni. Rightly was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The most important monument of Atrani is the Church of St Salvatore de ' Bireto, early medieval sources and then restored in the 800, which has a historical value overtime because there were elected the Doges of Amalfi and invested officially Doge Cap (hence the name of the Church) and there the Doges were buried. Well, the Church and the adjoining Museum are closed and there's not even a warning that it can steer the tourist on possible opening days. I ask a firefighter and two lamps in the country and everyone tells me that until recently the Church was open because it guarded by a group of young volunteers, but the Group was then disbanded and then now the Church and closed indefinitely. But how? Administrators, so diligent to retrieve money exacted exaggeratedly high parking (for a moped the rate is 2 euros per hour!), do not find the means to hire a caretaker of the Church to make it accessible to tourists? Town Hall tenants know that UNESCO has the right to withdraw its patronage if they are not guaranteed the conditions of access and usability to the monuments? Strange country, Italy. I give 5 pellets, the ultimate in Atrani, which he does deserve it, give it zero to amministratrori that you do not deserve such a beautiful country. I don't feel like doing math to calculate the average of the last judgement, it would be unfair to the town, so the rating fixed at four dots.

Streets and alleyways characteristic where you get lost again. Glimpses of lovely romantic huts alternate with panorama. Alleys where you lose track of time. You just have to consider that there will be many steps to climb uphill or downhill!
