  • We report building Clusters in old town for a double exhibition in progress downstairs until March 12, 2017: "Sutherland-Vangi. A senior dialogue between painting and sculpture ". Graham Sutherland (1903-1980) and Giuliano Vangi (Barberino del Mugello, 1931) came together in a stimulating dialogue by Francesco Poli, curator, and Gianni Dyed, collector and friend of Turin Vangi-as the latter-admirer of Sutherland. We also recommend that you see the video of Vacancy and then, if you haven't already done so, to visit the Palace. Service Notes: Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 to 18.30; from March 12 to March 1°, from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 to 19.30. Admission: 5 euros. PS. Staff book shop to be distilled.

  • The beautiful residence of nobles astigiani "De mazzettis", then Piles, is an elegant building in the Centre of Asti that houses the Civic Museum. Unexpectedly they are semiarredate with furniture, furnishings, sofas and lounges, all kept in excellent condition and, where necessary, restored with great taste. The collections of paintings are interesting and valuable paintings can be seen. Very pleasant Café attached and bookshop

  • I went back to palazzo mazzetti for showing Sutherland-Vangi. A senior dialogue between painting and sculpture, open downstairs until 12 March. in 2 up to the right of the ticket office were placed 30 paintings coming mostly from the private collection of the torinese dyed 50 years and made by the English painter 70 years. It is mostly abstract works that will draw upon the themes of nature-trees, landscapes of Wales, etc., including his self-portrait, only for this artist along with one preserved in the Gallery of portraits in London. to the left of the ticket office is the other part of exhibition dedicated to sculptor living Vangi. 27 sculptures in addition to 9 between preparatory drawings and paintings to complete the next sculpture are exhibited in 6 rooms dedicated to this extraordinary artist. It is large and small human figures, made of various materials, from bronze to marble, from copper to nickel, wood. even the Crystal was used for the face and hands of the man sitting in the Chair, spectacular and truly realistic detail of the folds of his pants, shoes, etc. fantastic even the man with the tank top. his teeth look absolutely real! beautiful woman reflected in the water that traps the feet that are located within a block of resin. two short panels introduce both sides of view, written in language a bit complex. You can view a video lasting 25 minutes in which Vangi explains some of his works. you see a view that he produced in 78 and a more recent one made at macro testaccio in Rome. very interesting to understand his work! I found this really nice especially the works of sculptor. less interesting are the paintings of Sutherland. being a dialogue between artists might have been appropriate to place them in the same rooms, perhaps alternating with each other. in any case recommend the visit, which lasts about an hour from watching the video. the ticket costs 5 €, free for owners of ski pass museums and allows you to visit besides the Palace with the permanent collection of paintings and furniture also the crypt of Sant'Anastasio, the baptistery, the domus romana and la torre Troyana but closed to the public in winter. lasts two days.
