  • In the history of the Risorgimento also Italian Asti asked a secondary part and this museum is there to witness it. Some information panels tell the passionate involvement and contributions of the entire city to the unification of Italy and the history of the Museum and of the families of patrons like that of Ottolenghi which is hosted. Paintings of the main actors of the independence from Cavour to Vittorio Emanuele, Manin, Mazzini, Garibaldi etc, coins of the Kingdom of Savoy, army uniforms and weapons of the period, describing the stages of unification of the Italian territory. In the underground anti-bombing an attractive shelter (not anti-atomic) 1939-45 war memorabilia gathered from real life, gas masks, a game of monopoly in the Fascist era and other curiosities

  • Museum free! Even though I have the Museum card, it was a surprise to discover that this museum is free. Is divided into three parts, a first room with paintings of battles, explanations of the historical period and National Union movements. A second room with paintings of famous people that have marked this period with a casket with medals and commemorative coins of the era. The last part is the bomb shelter with a small exhibition of objects and how did it come to conflict and to the different issues of this period. Dear the keeper who has been waiting for our ride, although we were cracking after closing time. Not to be missed if you switch from Asti.
