  • A unique festival, which encloses a square full story of asti and surroundings but told through the kitchen: thirty log cabins (they own this form) serves typical of each country, prepared as only grandmothers knew how to do and often baked or fried. You can taste everything from trendy tagliolini Viarigi, polenta with wild boar, at Apple or salty mixture out of Cessole, from agnolotti donkey of Calliano until Risotto al Barbera. And I'm not even a quarter of the dishes! Really a nice festival in the name of good food and good wine: there is an air of gaiety, for all three days. Give it a try!

  • To Asti, the weekend is one of the most important festivals of the year ... rich in moments of sharing your history, tradition and local gastronomy. The Festival delle Sagre starts on the second Saturday of September, with one of the biggest open air restaurants in the world! Palio square fills with dozens of log cabins, country representatives of the province, which offer their own typical gastronomic delights, accompanied by good local wine. Not to be missed, but always packed ... so, I recommend going to the piazza early and arm yourself with patience taaanta. The event continues the following day, on Sunday morning, with a parade through the streets of downtown of wagons belonging to various countries, representatives of each part of the tradition of Asti and country life. Really folk! It continues with lunch and dinner always at the stalls in Piazza del Palio ... while stocks last!

  • Is one of the most important and well known of the town of Asti. Dozens and dozens of municipalities want to propose their typical dishes served in the quaint little house. Also the beautiful parade in dresses of the past and engaging the living areas represented! I highly recommend you attend these festivals, armed but good patience to wait your turn in the queue at log cabins!

  • Unmissable event for lovers of Piedmontese cuisine and carnivals. Music good food and wine. The different countries of the province present their dishes, from porridge to fry. Each year more than 100,000 courses.

  • Festival special with fifty stands of various proloco offering their "warhorses": average prices (a few years ago were more cheaply with the complimentary glass of wine), but the portions are good and made at the time! There are so many people, but it's worth it!

  • Must try: 40 pro loco della provincia di Asti offer their delis, DOC wines of Asti (turns with the "classic glass neck" and each dish come "recharged" with a local wine). A sore point: a lot of people and parking difficulties.
